Jesse Butterfield uses abstract mixed media processes and products  to explore the juxtapositional dance between the third dimension and higher states of transcendental consciousness. He works with earthen, textured plasters to represent the natural world, synthetic materials such as epoxy resin to symbolize the challenges of navigating the man-made systems in our worldly lives and celestial products like gold leaf and metallic paints to reflect the role of our spiritual existence. Jesse invites the viewer to feel for themself what it means to find balance and harmony in an ever changing physical, yet sacred reality; thereby bridging heaven and earth.
