As showcased at the Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy in San Francisco

Jesse Butterfield was born and raised in San Francisco, California, a city rich in art, cosmopolitan awareness, and culture.
His journey into contemporary art began in his youth when he studied animation at the de Young Museum in San Francisco. With a mother who served as a figure model at the San Francisco Art Institute and for many prominent artists, Jesse was immersed in the world of art from an early age. In 2007, he traveled to Europe to advance his knowledge of the art of Venetian plaster, a key medium in his mixed-media art creations. These experiences have fostered an open-minded, curious, and experimental approach to art, enabling him to cultivate an ever-evolving level of creativity.
Having lived in and explored areas of natural wonder such as Northern California, San Diego, Sedona (Arizona), Santa Fe (New Mexico), and the Monterey Bay Area (where he currently resides), Jesse has developed a remarkable ability to create abstract art that integrates and embodies the grandeur of nature. His works feature inviting color palettes that evoke both an organic quality and a fantasy realm, producing pieces that harmoniously balance heaven and earth. This artistic expression enlivens not just the viewer, but also the surrounding space.
"Nature is not matter only, she is also spirit. Spirit seems to be the inside of things...the soul of objects." — C.G. Jung, The Earth Has a Soul
